Brundle Design Studio Notes
We hope that you find our Brundle Design Studio useful as a simple aid to designing beautiful ironwork from our extensive range. In the future we hope to add more templates and additional component parts to produce a wide range of ironwork with a few clicks.
Easy to use:
Simply select your chosen template and drag the items from the library into place. If you want to discard any, then simply click on them and drop them into the recycle bin. You can select from our range of newel posts for the ends posts and from the various categories of infill bars for the rest of the vertical bars.
Internet Browser
Although Design Studio has been designed to work with as many internet browsers as possible, some will offer a better experience than others, and we recommend trying Google Chrome if you have any issues with functionality.
Offline Mode:
To Use the app in offline mode, you must save the app to the home screen of your device.
The App will only ever be as "up to date" as the online version was at the time of saving your app to the home screen. (I.e. If you saved the app to home screen in July 2013 and new products were added in August 2013 your app would not show these updated parts) To get the up to date version you would have to delete the app and re-add it to your homepage.
You cannot email in offline mode and you can only save to device only (Not to your account) in offline mode.
To use offline mode on the design studio app you must ensure you have done the following steps below:
- Logged into your Design Studio Account (Using an Internet Connection).
- Keep your app open whether it is on the screen or running in the background.
- Don't Log out at any time as when you log out you will not be able to get back on to the app without using an internet connection to Log In again.
Please note:
1 The Brundle Design Studio is designed to be helpful as a tool to provide simple, fast visual aids when designing balustrades and rails. However it is not a manufacturing drawing and there may be small changes in the actual parts and the angle of the steps for example.
2 The nominal heights are 900 mm from the nose of the stairs to the top of the handrail and 1000 mm from the landing to the top of the handrail.
3 Please note that some designs you produce may not meet Building Regulations. If you need to comply then you may need to check that your design is appropriate with your local Building Control Office.
